This editorial policy explains how Frost Nugget researches, writes, and reviews the guides you read. Our goal is simple: give you honest, useful, and accurate help with ice makers.
How we research
Guides begin with hands-on use whenever possible. We run machines in a real kitchen, measure what we can, and record what actually happens rather than what a spec sheet promises. Where we rely on outside data, we use reputable sources and say so.
Independence
We accept no payment for a positive review, and no brand can buy a recommendation. If a machine is weak, we say it is weak. Our opinions are our own.
Accuracy and corrections
We check figures like run costs, batch times, and cleaning steps before publishing. If we get something wrong, we want to know. Email [email protected] and we will review it, fix confirmed errors, and note meaningful updates.
Updates
Ice makers change, and so do prices and models. We revisit popular guides and update them when a model is replaced or our testing teaches us something new. Updated guides show a revised date.
Sourcing and links
When we cite facts about water, health, or energy, we link to recognized authorities. Product mentions are for identification, and we do not use brand logos or official assets.
Advertising and content separation
Advertising, once enabled, is kept clearly separate from our editorial content. Ads never influence what we recommend or how we rate a machine.
